The Municipality of Camalig, Albay yearly celebrates the Pinangat Festival on June 10-24, coinciding with the Camalig Town Fiesta in honor of the town’s patron saint, St. John the Baptist. This yearly activity salutes its people, celebrates life and unifies the best elements of Camalig’s pride, “PINANGAT”, giving the entire fiesta a unique municipal flavor through holding of special events, activities and nightly entertainment programs for participation and enjoyment of the public.

The festival started on June 2000 and recognized as the town’s official festival through Sangguniang Bayan Resolution Number. 0022 – 2012 and Municipal Ordinance No. 2016-10.
