With the theme “Galing, talino, at husay ng mga batang makabansa sa diwa ng matatag na adhika,” the Schools Division Office of Albay (SDO Albay) spearheaded the 2024 Division Festival of Talents (DFOT) held at Camalig National High School, Camalig, Albay, with 25 participating schools around the province.

 

Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo Jr. has delivered his message of support to the Department of Education (DepEd), highlighting the goals of the local government in fostering talented and capable learners by promoting inclusive education programs.

 

“Kailangan ma-develop ang mga bata para maging magandang halimbawa sila balang araw”, the Mayor further stated.

 

Division of Albay Schools Division Superintendent, Nene Rosal- Merioles, CESO V, likewise shared a piece of inspiration to the delegates, stating that their presence in the activity communicates a level of dedication and excellence that exceeds their great potential.

 

DFOT is a flagship program of DepEd that aims to proactively engage learners in activities that provide opportunities to showcase their talents and skills using the learned competencies acquired at schools.
