Camalig’s faithful gathered at St. John the Baptist Parish to honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 3 days after the somber remembrance of His crucifixion.
The celebration of the Easter Sunday mass took place on the Patio Grounds of the church, which was followed by the “Salubong,” a traditional early morning meeting of statues representing the Risen Christ and the Virgin Mary, symbolizing their joyous encounter.
The observance of said time-honored traditions is a reflection of the Camaligueños’ deep-rooted faith and devotion, serving as a powerful reminder of the significant moments in Jesus Christ’s life, His death, and His resurrection.
