A total of 125 beneficiaries, comprised of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) treasurers, secretaries, and Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) members, received educational assistance from Senator Loren Legarda through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
Each grantee, who are currently college and senior high school (SHS) students, received Php4, 000 worth of cash to support and finance their educational expenses and achieve academic goals, enabling them to strive beyond every circumstance.
In his statement, Mayor Caloy expresses his heartfelt gratitude to Sen. Legarda, stressing the importance of this initiative towards achieving a resilient future comprised of motivated youth leaders and members.
LGU-Camalig, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), is ramping up its efforts to promote youth participation in government processes by providing them with access to information, opportunities, and political channels.
