55 families comprised of 211 individuals from Brgy. Anoling were already decamped as of early this afternoon, December 8, 2023.

The families have safely returned to their residences with the assistance from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO), Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office (MSWDO), and other partner agencies.

Prior to the decampment, the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) provided family food packs (FFPs) to families, purposely to ensure that they have access to sufficient food and other essentials as they return home.

In an advisory, Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo, Jr. reminded the public to still avoid entering the 6km permanent danger zone (PDZ) at the volcano as it remains risky despite the lowered alert level.
