Various LGU-Camalig employees were recently recognized for their outstanding contributions to nutrition and health programs, with Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator (MNPC), Mr. Kenneth M. Nolasco, leading the pack.
 
Mr. Nolasco was honored as the Provincial Outstanding Nutrition Program Coordinator and emerged as the sole awardee at the municipal level for the Regional Contender for Outstanding Municipal/City Nutrition Program Coordinator.
 
LGU-Camalig also received an award for Provincial Outstanding Local Nutrition Implementor and the esteemed Green Banner Award, marking the local government’s 3rd consecutive win, which was achieved through the intensive implementation of holistic nutrition initiatives and practices.
 
The commendable efforts of health responders in the barangays were also acknowledged, with several individuals being recognized for their commitment to promote maximized health and nutrition in their respective communities. Fe Obina of Brgy. Quinuartilan secured the Provincial 1st runner-up Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar award, Jovelyn Moreno of Brgy. Libod secured the 2nd District Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar award, Jocelyn Nicerio of Brgy. Quirangay secured the 2nd District Outstanding Barangay Health Reproductive Officer award, and Mylene Aban of Brgy. Palanog secured the 2nd District Outstanding Barangay Health Worker award.
 
In a statement, Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo, Jr., also expressed his pride in the accomplishments of LGU-Camalig, “The awards given to our functionaries are results of LGU-Camalig’s strong commitment in prioritizing and promoting nutrition. Isa po ang nutrisyon sa mga foundations ng isang malusog at ligtas na komunidad, at patuloy po kaming mag-iinvest dito,” Mayor Caloy said.
