Albay Health Worker’s Day, which runs today, December 4 to December 7, 2023, at Albay Farmers’ Bounty Village in Cabangan, Camalig, Albay.With the theme “Albay Health Workers: Movers and Trailblazers for a Future-Ready and Healthy Province”, the Albay Provincial Health Office (PHO) spearheaded said event to mainly celebrate and recognize health workers as the capable pillars of welfare and protection at the grassroots level.
Additionally, Albay Provincial Health Officer, Dra. Estella B. Zenit expressed the provincial government’s urge and support for the implementation of the Magna Carta for Health Workers, which she sees as an absolute change for health workers’ social and economic well-being and offers better working conditions.The Day 1 of said event was attended by community health workers, particularly Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Reproductive Health Officers (BRHOs) from the towns of Camalig, Daraga, and Rapu-Rapu in Albay.
