Political candidates of Camalig, Albay gathered on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Unity Walk, Interfaith Rally, and Peace Covenant Signing for the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE) and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Parliamentary Elections (BARMM PE).

 

The unity walk, participated in by the said candidates, representatives of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), Faith-Based Leaders, and officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Camalig Municipal Police Station (CMPS) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), traversed from the Phoenix Gasoline Station in Brgy. Salugan to the Camalig Municipal Hall Grounds, Poblacion, Brgy. 2, Camalig, Albay.

 

Following the unity walk, the Peace Covenant Signing for the 2025 NLE and BARMM PE took place at the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Hall, located at the Camalig Municipal Building. The program was presided over by PCpl Navia Diaz.

In closing, the program was marked by the Reading of the Integrity Pledge and Signing of the Peace Covenant led by Ruel Azurin, Election Officer III of the Camalig Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
