
In observance of the National Youth Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) Awareness Day, the Camalig Municipal Health Office (MHO) held an orientation for 30 female Senior High School students from the Camalig National Highschool (CNHS).
Held at the Camalig Municipal Hall on Thursday, December 5, 2024, the orientation featured virus-preventive and mental health topics, such as HIV and Aids Awareness, Teenage Pregnancy, Mental Health, and Nutrition for Adolescent.
These topics were relayed by Rural Health Physician Ms. Myra Miraballes-Lachica, MD, Provincial POPCOM Officer Ms. Eva Loria, RN, Municipal POPCOM Officer Ms. Sheila Melgar, and DOH Nutritionist Dietrician Ms. Cherry Bea Manlangit-Bayhon, RND.
40 female students from CNHS are set to undergo the same orientation tomorrow, December 6, 2024.
