Earlier today, some 160 passengers out of the 250 German-speaking individuals, along with 160 German and Filipino crew members of the Hanseatic Spirit Cruise Ship from Hapag Lloyd-TUI Cruises, visited tourist spots across Camalig, Albay.
 
The visitors explored a variety of attractions, including Quituinan Ranch, Sumlang Lake, Hoyop-Hoyopan Cave, and Solong Eco-Park, and engaged in spelunking activities, cultural immersion, and scenic viewing.
During the visit, personnel under the Municipal Tourism & Cultural Heritage Office (MTCHO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO), Municipal Health Office (MHO), Camalig Municipal Police Station (MPS), and Camalig Fire Station (FS), were mobilized purposely to ensure a safe, informative, seamless, and enjoyable experience for the visitors.
 
In a statement, Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. CarlosCaloy” Irwin G. Baldo, Jr. extended his gratitude to the Department of Tourism Region V for the town’s inclusion in the itineraries of Hapag Lloyd-TUI Cruises.
 
Mayor Caloy also expressed that the said inclusion is expected to further bring economic benefits and increased global recognition. “Pag-uwi nila, may pwede silang i-kwento sa mga kababayan nila doon (When they return home, they will have stories to share with their folks). Baka maisipan ring mamasyal dito sa atin (This might prompt them to visit our place as well)”.
